Homeschooling was never supposed to mean doing everything alone.

I know what it's like to carry the whole homeschool.

I'm Heather — a homeschool mom who spent more than two decades teaching, planning, adjusting, starting over, figuring things out, and eventually graduating all four of my children.

I've homeschooled through different ages, different personalities, different learning needs, and different seasons of family life.

And somewhere along the way, I realized something I wish more homeschool moms were told from the beginning:

I think a lot of us start homeschooling believing that because we chose this, we're supposed to handle all of it.

We plan the lessons. Find the curriculum. Print the worksheets. Teach every subject. Plan the activities. Keep everybody on track.

And somehow, without realizing it, we can start measuring how well we're homeschooling by how much we're carrying.

But your child learning from another teacher doesn't make you less involved.

Using curriculum somebody else already planned doesn't make your homeschool less personal.

Letting somebody else teach algebra because you would rather do almost literally anything else doesn't mean you've failed. 😂

You are still the person who knows your children best. You still decide what they learn, how they learn, and what works for your family.

You just don't have to personally carry every single piece.
