About your Teacher

Ms. Barbara

Ms. Barbara has a gift for bringing history to life. With years of experience teaching middle school and high school students, she blends her love of the written word with her deep passion for historical storytelling — helping teens not just learn history, but truly experience it.

Her students describe her classes as “engaging,” “thought-provoking,” and “the kind of history you actually want to talk about at dinner.” She believes that every era has a voice, and through primary sources, letters, speeches, and powerful narratives, she shows students how the written language helps us understand the people behind the events.

From analyzing battlefield decisions to reading the words of the generals themselves, Ms. Barbara guides students in exploring leadership, strategy, and character through a rich, multi-perspective lens. Her teaching style encourages critical thinking, respectful discussion, and a deeper appreciation for America’s past.

Whether your teen joins live or watches the replay, they’ll quickly see why Ms. Barbara is one of our most loved middle and high school instructors — she doesn’t just teach history; she invites students into it.
